The GT WINE tasting panel keeps looking for new themes and this one fell in our lap. Marsanne and roussanne and blends thereof made up the core of the tasting – we decided to sideline 100% viognier to keep the number of wines to a manageable level. That said, viognier surfaced in many of the blends as did grenache blanc, clairette and some bourboulenc. The local wines stood up well with value a key to both the domestic offerings and the Cotes du Rhone Blancs. Come along and taste for yourself.
