Advanced Workshop – More Pinot Please

My cellar is loaded  with top end Australian pinots – often from individual vineyard plots in the Burgundian mould. Think Hurley, Ten Minutes by Tractor, By Farr, Stonier, Montalto, Giant Steps and Oakridge. We’ll taste five brackets of three wines with a trio of masked pinots to finish – just to see if you’ve been paying attention!

Spring will certainly be in the air when we taste the best of the best in the rosé category from the October/November issue of GT WINE Magazine. The tasting panel discovered some terrific (read: dry and savoury) styles from both Australia and Provence. The rosé category has exploded over the last decade but we have sorted the good from the bad and ugly (read: sweet and syrupy) styles. This will be a fun night.

Chardonnay at its Best at Lolli REDINI

Chardonnay comes in all guises from sparkling to still; fresh and bright to bold and complex. We’ll explore this vinous diversity with two of top Australian sparklings and the best of Champagne. Following onto three brackets of high end Australian chardonnays from quality producers like Oakridge, Giants Steps, Mac Forbes, Ten Minutes by Tractor, Stonier and Kooyong. I can’t squeeze them all in but will make a call closer to the night.

GT WINE Magazine Top Tasting in Orange – Australian Sparkling

Monday 10 December @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The focus is top end Australia with Tasmania leading the charge – think Arras, Clover Hill, Stefano Lubiana et al. However there were many highlights from the mainland – but you’ll have to wait for you December/January issue of GT WINE Magazine. It’s always a fun night and books out quickly.
