Riesling Renaissance

Riesling is one of the world’s noble grapes with purity, precision (it does come from Germany, after all) and incredible longevity. Riesling can be dry or sweet, drunk young or old with equal pleasure. Riesling arrived in Australia 150 years ago and has settled into the Eden and Clare Valleys in South Australia with marvellous rieslings from the Great Southern of Western Australia, the Canberra District and Orange. We’ll explore these regions alongside benchmarks from Germany, Alsace and Austria.

GT WINE Magazine Top Tasting – 2017 Hunter Shiraz

Wednesday 3 April @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The theme is 2017 Hunter Valley Shiraz and a cracking line-up. It’s the first time the GTW tasting panel have looked at Hunter Valley shiraz as a single category – odd that’s it’s taken 20 years to do so. 2017 was a fabulous year – read warm, dry and no sub-tropical storms.
